Sweet Note Learning

Hi! I’m Pauline, an educator and mom of two learning Cantonese together.

I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. I grew up in a monolingual English home. I always wanted to learn Cantonese and am doing it now with my children. However, when my children were born, I had no idea where to start. I quickly learned that Cantonese resources were scarce or inaccessible, especially since I could not read or write in Chinese. I decided to create my own resources and share them with families who were experiencing similar struggles.

Using my experience as a primary educator, I created resources that promoted family bonding and purposeful play. These are resources that I hope families can do together to create fond memories while learning Cantonese. By creating these fond memories, I hope that the children will embrace their culture and continue to have a love for the language as they grow older.

For the last few years, I have been creating and sharing resources for free. Resources that I spent hours creating and translating so that families would be inspired to take on this language learning adventure together. There are now paid resources in my store. These are resources that were translated, edited and tested by other kind parents and families to ensure the highest quality. By purchasing or sharing one of the resources in my store, you help to keep this website running which allows me to create more resources.
